Grace has been seeing her new boyfriend for a few months now. He works third shift and they're only able to hang out during the day. She's surprised when she gets a call from him in the late afternoon, just as the sun is setting, "I want you to meet me at the spot where we hiked last month, under the willow tree," he convincingly tells her, "I know it's late, and deep into the woods, but I've got a camp set up already." Grace is nervous about walking in the dark, but she's been on that trail, she knows where it is. Her boyfriend tells her, "I've got your favorite cherry merlot, chocolates, and we'll make love under the stars." She giggles. "I promise, I'll make it worthwhile." She gets off the phone with him, her head swimming with romantic thoughts of them making love, fireside, under the stars, with cherry merlot kisses.
She drives and listens to her favorite song, she sings along happily. "Blue moon you saw me standing alone. Without a dream in my heart. Without a love of my own." The sun is starting to set as she walks. Her heart begins to race, she feels as if she is being followed. She takes out her cell phone and goes off train through a short cut. She steps over fallen trees, Autumn's first fallen leaves crunch under her shoes, she hears a growl, or was it..? She hurries her pace, she calls him, the reception isn't clear and he is breaking up. "I'll keep going North until I find you," she tells him in a hurry. She hears the deep rumble of that thing's growl again, closer, closer, she hears four paws behind her. She looks behind and sees glowing eyes, she begins to run through to the clearing as fast as she can.
The tent is in the distance. The scratches her and encourages her to run for her life! She hurries inside the tent, but her boyfriend is not there! She grabs her cell phone, no signal. She turns on a flashlight, she hears the thing outside, nearby, half / half wolf. She tries to calm herself, she tells herself it won't go inside the tent... she manages to sing, "blue moon... you saw...me...standing...alone.." She hums as her eyes jet from left to right. Her skin burns, she looks down and sees that the scratched her, she begins to sweat. A masculine and beastly howl in the distance, she tries to calm herself, "it's far." She sweats, and her heart beats heavy and loud. The changes accelerate, hair growing on her face, her chest, her nails grow into yellow claws, her body grows larger, longer. She hears the howl once more, he is coming for her. Her boyfriend IS the wolf. She welcomes the last few changes as her human body transforms into a fierce, feminine, wolf. "I'm coming with you," she answers the howl. She jumps though the front of the tent.
